Position Summary

  • This position supports the Client Services Department with responsibilities related to building relationships with internal and external customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret paper, online enrollment and EDI log forms of enrollment.
  • Invoicing of offered services.
  • Reconcile invoices and figure adjustments.
  • Assist clients with customer support of outside vendor programs as well as supply stock reports.
  • Communicate with plan administrators at the client level, members, and brokers to assist in Billing, COBRA & Enrollment functions.
  • Plan language.
  • Understand HIPPA rules-must protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
  • Understanding of Benefits Administration and 125 Cafeteria Rules.
  • Understanding of COBRA eligible events.
  • Maintain a 95% processing accuracy.
  • Comply with billing timelines.
  • Report overpayments, underpayments, and other irregularities.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.  Associates degree in Accounting is preferred. 
  • Prior Benefits Administration experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in TPA industry, healthcare industry and specifically billing/coding position is preferred but not required.
  • General office equipment including computer and peripherals, copier, scanner, fax, calculator, and telephone
