We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX.


As a Portfolio Accountant at Presidium, you will play a vital role in managing the accounting functions for a designated portfolio of properties. This includes preparing accurate and timely financial reports, supporting budgeting processes, and collaborating across departments to ensure the financial integrity of each asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide analysis of financial data
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and input journal entries into accounting software system
  • Prepare tax work papers for external tax consultants
  • Prepare quarterly investor reports
  • Collaborate regularly with multiple departments, including A/P, A/R, Operations, and Construction
  • Analyze general ledger accounts for inconsistencies or material misstatements
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Analyze and allocate costs appropriately
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Contributes to a positive company culture as a collaborative and supportive team player
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in multifamily real estate or portfolio accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Yardi and/or Entrata.
  • Proficient in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
