Position Summary

  • The role of Client Operations Specialist includes general account support functions and customer service assistance which includes learning to use a proprietary E-Tool to assist clients with navigating health benefits. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in a dynamic industry.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn benefit administration tool to assist client and staff with the use of the tool
  • Extract Excel reports from the system to prepare enrollment information for internal and external staff
  • Act as a liaison between benefit administration vendor, insurance carrier and Client Service team to investigate and resolve EDI file discrepancies
  • Manage customer employee census files to upload to the system
  • Assist Underwriting and Client Service team to manage new clients and partner on   implementation projects
  • Document and maintain the implementation project plans and key dates
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers and internal team members to gather information and assist in resolving issues
  • Perform regular audits of enrollment data on the benefit administration platform with carrier census data
  • Maintaining accurate client files and records for general reference and office use
  • Preparation for and participation in conference calls and meetings
  • Contributing to the team effort by supporting other functions when needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Technology or Business Administration preferred
  • Proficiency in Computer Science, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint , Excel & Outlook is required
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to work well in a team environment but also be self-disciplined
  • Desire to learn and advance in the Employee Benefits market
  • Prior customer service experience
